When can kittens go to their new homes?
Kittens are usually ready between 10 and 12 weeks of age. How a kitten is raised during the first three months of life is very important. They need to socialize with their mother, littermates, people, noises and other animals. It is at this age that life long behaviors are set. When you come to pick up your kittens, he/she has been trained not to bite or scratch and has also been taught to come when called. This takes alot of time and dedication but it is very appreciated since it is important to have a companion that is a pleasure to live with. The other aspect of owning a cat that is very important is their litterbox habits. If a kitten is not properly trained during 5 - 12 weeks of age, they could end up being a cat that goes outside the box. Since this is also important, we make sure that your kitten is fully trained before leaving our home.
